Relocating to London in 2000, the duo started hosting their own parties named "Seed" in a local bar, with afterparties often spilling into nearby flats and warehouse spaces. The nights aim was to showcase up & coming talented electronic producers, and saw acts such as Cursor Miner, Ardisson, and Digitonal play some of their first live shows, alongside more established acts and DJs. The night then formed into a fully-fledged record label, upon which Posthuman released their first album proper, a double vinyl & CD named "The Uncertainty of the Monkey"
From here, Posthuman established themselves as a solid live techno & electronica act, playing shows across the UK and Europe, and releasing several EPs and two more albums on their own label "Seed Records" to excellent critical acclaim. They also hosted a series of parties in an abandoned underground train station in central London - playing host to acts such as Aphex Twin, Goldfrapp, Funkstorung, Plaid, Luke Vibert, Ceephax, Mark Moore, and many others.
In 2006, Doherty left Seed Records to help restart seminal UK techno label B12 Records, and after working with B12 to release a retrospective box set and new material, Posthuman joined the label roster themselves. Doherty then set up a new imprint "Balkan Vinyl" in 2010, a label specialising in limited run vinyl releases, with attention to detail with the packaging & artwork, releasing music from artists such as Mark Archer (of Altern 8), Marco Passarani, Plaid, Luke Vibert, Ben Sims, Global Goon, B12, Hrdvsion, Cursor Miner and many more.
Doherty also runs London's long-running monthly acid house retrospective night "I Love Acid" and co-promotes techno clubnight "Machine" with Kirk Degiorgio and Ben Sims. He also produces & DJs old-skool rave & acid under the name AGT Rave Cru.
