
Inevitably this developed into the house sound which took a grip of the dance music scene.
Jons record bag was brimming with the finest chicago house as he developed into one of the regions most respected house DJS.
Then came a time in dance culture which will never be equalled.The rave scene exploded and Birmingham continued to push to the top of the party calendar.Jon played at underground nights such as warped vinyl and set.
As Birmingham moved towards a more glamorous vocal house sound with nights like Moneypennys at the infamous Bonds Jons passion for house music never wavered.Jon remained open minded,always prepared to move with the sound although never prepared to follow a fad or jump on short lived bandwagons.An attitude he maintains today,which explains why Jon continues to earn respect in an ever evolving scene.
Taking a break from DJing for family reasons Jon returned to the decks in the mid noughties. Technology had taken a grip of clubland with new and innovative pieces of equipment
Jon says "technology for me made the whole DJ experience more exciting,yes i loved hunting for hours for rare vinyl, but i spend hours searching the internet for different tunes,like having a record shop in your home"
More recently Jon has played for brands such as Twilight at Londons Pacha and Muak at The Egg,playing alongside the likes of Ian Pooley,Frankie Felliciano,Andre Lodemann to name a few.
In 2009 Jon set up a deep/tech house night Tantalise,joining friends Steve Kelley and Ash Sheehans Palava brand.Tantalise presents Palava was born,placing an emphasis on quality house music on an outdoor terrace with all manner of entertainment.
In 2012 Jon worked with Top house label Cadenza,warming up for vagabundo Mendo,Mendo was complimentary of his set,realising the importyance of a good warm up set to get the crowd buzzing.
Jon also played alongside Mexa Records' Climbers from Mexico,producers/DJS presently taking the house scene by storm.
Jon will soon be producing under the alias J U U.Expect quality house music.
