a.t.p (drum/effect) from DACOTA SPEAKER that regrettably disbanded in February, 2012 formed a new band called DALLJUB STEP CLUB, with his former member, BENCH. (bass/vocal) and Yuta Hoshi (machine/vocal/etc.). On the basis of dub and reggae, the band is also inspired by various music genres such as hip-hop, techno, jungle, and some other ongoing beats like dubstep and juke. They bring all these aspects of music styles in and the band is about to push back the frontiers of bass music. Energetic roughness. Sophisticated elegance. These seemingly conflicting elements coexist in their sound and groove. It can be said that this dope and somehow catchy sound would not be created on the bass music scene in Jamaica nor London, but Tokyo. Yes, only the new generation from Tokyo could grow it out. Making much of phonation, the word "DALLJUB" was coined. It captures the nature of their music music style that the band comprehends ALL the genres with the DUB centered. For your information, J comes from "Janru" which is how "genre" is pronounced in Japanese. Live performance at its self-organized event on November 9, 2012!!! Stay tuned.
