Habit to others or the Habits as they are affectionately known, are a South East London female DJ & production duo.
Farzana & Lauren first met whilst sharing a bar residency. After discovering they had a mutual love of deep underground house (and nail varnish), they decided to pool their resources and start playing gigs together.
With two totally different DJ styles, musical tastes and backgrounds they have a formula that works. From bumpy to vocal to thumping baselines, they vary their music and keep it interesting. Their energy behind the decks and ability to create an atmosphere wherever they play is infectious.
Lauren hails from an era of US house & Garage Music & Farzana’s in electro house, making an interesting mix where production is concerned.
Rolling beats, Syncopated drum patterns, big drops and a dusting of vocal vibrancy are the staple sounds flowing throughout their music, making it a favorite for dance floors.
After studying music production & sound engineering the girls began producing music from the heart. House music with a no nonsense attitude is their profile.
