After outgrowing my home town, I moved to Bristol, and was surrounded by like minded producers and DJs and started to experiment with different technology to try and push creativity. With the ability to play digital music, and with so many ideas coming from everyone, I started to make my own tracks and re edits to use in my sets, mixing on Serato. I have since moved to Traktor Pro and ableton, but still enjoy mixing on decks when the occasion suits.Having the ability to control the way the set develops like a live artist, but being able to play like a DJ is what is exciting me at the moment, trying to harness a combination of machine, ableton and Traktor amonst 2 or 3 people, coukd be amazing.
I firmly believe it is not just the music but the whole immersive experience which is important and with fellow apologue artists and our good friends at RFID we hope to be able to create something really special in the future. We have been playing in the RFID and they have 360 degree visuals on the dome roof, and the difference in atomosphere is incredible. We are working on a LED light installation , and also messing aroubnd with surround sound, so it is exciting times.
I am currently co running apologue recordings , check http:/apologue.co.uk or http:/soundcloud.com/apologue for more info
