Shisd（本名Felix Idle）はオーストラリア・ダーリングハースト出身、現在は東京とオーストラリアの首都、キャンベラの２都市を拠点に活動しているプロデューサー/ボーカリスト。実験的アンビエント系シドニーのレーベルValley Spiritも主宰。

2012年にオーストラリアを拠点とするネット・レーベル、Wood & Wireからリリースされた『しsd EP』では、環境音やシンセの細かいサンプリングなどを駆使し、音と音の隙間である余白を存分に活かしたローファイな音作りで、どこかEyedressやHoly Other、Clams Casinoといったドリーム・ウェイヴ～ウィッチ・ハウスなどと呼ばれていたアクトとの親和性をも感じさせた。また、自身の囁くような甘いボーカルや感傷的でありながらもどこか親しみやすさも感じさせるメロディは、彼が影響を受けたと語るJesus and Mary Chainや日本のSupercarなども彷彿とさせる。

現在ではFade 2 Mindや地元キャンベラの実験的な音楽シーンなどからもインプットを行いながらも制作や高円寺のアムプカフェ、渋谷のWOMB、恵比寿のリキッドルームなどでのライブ活動に打ち込んでいる。

Shisd is the “shy-boy electronica” project of Tokyo-via-Sydney musician/ visual artist Felix Idle. Setting out in 2011, his sound has experienced mutated over time, integrating a number of conflicting aesthetics & influences; from raves & clubs, pub gigs, K-pop, Trance and Hardcore YouTube mixes to the rarefied world of experimental and improvised music. He currently resides in Tokyo where he participated in Flau Records-curated first day of micro-festival EMAF Tokyo 2014 as well as in other events at venues like Shibuya’s WOMB, Amp Cafe in Koenji, Batica in Ebisu etc. In addition to orchestrating gigs and releases for his own drone/ experimental label Valley Spirit since 2013 he has also had tracks featured on recent Sydney artist-run labels Feral Media and Sky Dreams’ most recent compilations and stands poised to release his second EP, AVE, on Mexico-based label Memory No. 36 Recordings.
