ian fonk is from london, england and he plays keys. hisa fonk is from tokyo, and he plays bass. taka fonk is from japan and he plays drums. we met through mixi (japanese networking site) on the medeski, martin & wood fan page, and we started jamming because we all love funky stuff. hisa uses a fender jazz bass and boss fx pedals. taka has roland v-drums at home, but he'll hit anything in the studio. ian uses korg x5D, roland xp10 and korg fx, but he wishes he had a fender rhodes, a clavinet and a hammond B3....
