MELEETIME is a Tokyo-based queer DJ, co-founder of the underground queer party FETCH, and organizer of the solo event MASALA. Born in 1994, she graduated from Keio University’s Faculty of Environment and Information Studies.
Her name is inspired by Super Smash Bros. Melee, reflecting a world where characters with different visuals and styles coexist seamlessly—an image that resonated with her queer identity and genre-blending DJ approach.
Influenced by IDM and experimental music, MELEETIME’s style fuses electronic, deconstructed club, breaks, ghetto tech, and Jersey club with a floor-focused, playful, and queer-spirited energy. Known for her heavy beats and melodic drive, she has moved dance floors from queer clubs in Shinjuku to sleek decks in Shibuya and outdoor raves in the mountains.
She has performed at venues like WWW X in Shibuya and queer parties in Ni-chome, as well as internationally at Seoul’s Cakeshop, VISLA FM, and London’s NTS Radio. She also appeared at events hosted by creative house Yenesai, which brought Yves Tumor to Japan.
