DJ SWIVLL aka Ian Jennings was born in Long Beach, CA, and grew up in Huntington Beach. He attended Edison High, where he started his track career and would continue to compete on the men's track and field team at both Golden West College and Cal State University-Fullerton, in triple and long jump. He is currently training for the 2008 Olympic Trials where he hopes to represent the USA Men's Team in the Triple Jump competition in Beijing, China.

He started djing in 2000, while he was at CSU-Fullerton studying as a Radio-TV-Film major. At CSUF he took multiple classes and learned how to write, direct, produce & do post production for both film & television as well as work in the radio industry. He got an internship at KPWR Power 106 FM in Los Angeles in 2004 and was later hired for the Flava Unit upon graduation from CSUF with a B.A. in Radio-TV-Film. By December 2007, he was featured mixing live on-air at Power 106 FM during the "12 Days of Mix-Mas".

On any given week day, you can find him spinning at a Power 106 Street Promotion Event, various high schools, school dances, parties, clubs as well as concerts and other special events in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. Since he began DJing, Swivll has progressed from house parties to birthday parties, and moved onto weddings, school dances and nightclubs in L.A. and Orange County and now is currently looking to expand in other cities and eventually other states & countries. A brief list of clubs DJ Swivll has appeared at are Tentation Ultra Lounge, Club 740, Deco's, and is a rotating resident at Shark Club.
