C!AO（チャオ）は、大阪を拠点に活動するDJ、イベントプロデューサー、カルチャークリエイターであり、日本のサイケデリック・ミュージックシーンを牽引する存在です。
1996年にニュージーランドでトランスカルチャーと出会って以来、彼は長年にわたり、ジャンルの枠を超え、音楽を通じて意識の深層に迫る、深く没入感のあるサウンドを追求し続けています。
彼のDJスタイルは、サイケデリック・トランス、ナイト・フルオン、フォレスト、ダークサイなど、サイケデリックのさまざまなサブジャンルにまたがり、肉体的にも爆発的でありながら、精神的にも変容をもたらすようなセットを作り上げています。アンダーグラウンドな電子音楽の表現と、儀式的・スピリチュアルな要素を融合させることで、日本国内外で熱狂的なフォロワーを獲得しています。
C!AOはまた、P!NGという別名義でも広く知られており、このロービートプロジェクトでは、サイテクノ、ダーク・プログレッシブ、ミニマル・テクノなどを探求しています。より幅広い電子音楽リスナーに向けて、催眠的でディープなフロア体験を提供しています。

DJ C!AO is a DJ, event producer, and cultural creator based in Osaka, and a leading figure in Japan’s psychedelic music scene.
Since discovering trance culture in New Zealand in 1996, he has spent nearly 30 years cultivating a deeply immersive sound that transcends genre boundaries and explores the depths of consciousness through music.
His DJ style spans a wide range of psychedelic subgenres—from Psychedelic Trance and Night Full-On to Forest and Dark Psy—crafting sets that are both physically explosive and spiritually transformative. By fusing underground electronic expression with ceremonial and spiritual elements, he has garnered a dedicated following both in Japan and internationally.
In addition to his main alias, DJ C!AO is also widely recognized under his low-BPM project P!NG, where he explores Psytechno, Dark Progressive, and Minimal Techno—offering a hypnotic, deep-floor experience that resonates with a broader range of electronic music audiences.
DJ C!AO is a founding member and key organizer of GAIA, one of the largest psychedelic culture festivals in Japan.
GAIA is more than just a music event—it is a multi-sensory, multi-generational festival where sound, healing arts, environmental consciousness, and spiritual experiences are interwoven into a holistic celebration of life. DJ C!AO plays a central role in bringing this vision to life, overseeing everything from artist bookings and stage design to the integration of healing and ceremonial spaces.
Outside of GAIA, he continues to perform at clubs, outdoor festivals, and spiritual gatherings across Asia, constantly creating spaces where sound becomes a tool for raising consciousness and fostering human connection.
