Hungarian DJ and producer Greg Katona’s career has taken him across Europe and Asia and landed him a spot as one of the most sought after DJs in Beijing. His interest in electronic music began at an early age and was influenced by the sounds of Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode. He began his journey as a DJ in Budapest under the guidance of respected techno DJ Gabor Kraft and has since developed a heavy-hitting style of his own. Soon after he moved to Beijing in 2013 he had his first residency at one of the most popular nightclubs of the time, Spark. Since then, Katona has held residencies at Beijing’s biggest clubs including Spark, Modo Ultra Club and the still infamous Elements.

In addition to his impressive list of residencies, Katona has performed representing huge international brands such as Chanel, Cartier, Versace, H&M, Armani. His professionalism and skill as a performer has seen him booked as the official DJ for several prestigious events including the opening ceremony for Beijing Fashion Week. His popularity in China has won him bookings throughout Asia with multiple shows in countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea. His 2016 tour of South Korea included a stop at the Spectrum Music Festival and back in Hungary he performed alongside Martin Solveig, Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki at Balaton Sound, which is one of Europe’s largest outdoor electronic festivals. In the past year, Katona completed a South East Asian tour including stops in Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan and performed in 2019 at the world-famous Ultra Music Festival in Croatia. He was also an official artist of the Sziget Festival in Hungary, which also featured top artists such as Ed Sheeran, Post Malone and Martin Garrix.

Katona’s skills don’t stop at DJing; as a producer and a remixer he has released a constant stream of consistently high-quality releases. The bootlegs, remixes, and originals on his discography speak to his diversity as an artist and contain house, trap, electro and hip-hop to guarantee something for everyone. He has recently honed his musical style focusing on low-end based songs emulating the sound of Psy, bass house and bigroom. This year Katona has released six original tracks on the respected record labels Ensis Records and G-Mafia as well as on Korean labels Discovery Music Records and Moon Records.
