Ahimsa has been djing for almost ten years. Born in Australia , with Indian roots, began exploring the sounds of indian fusion in his teen years. Moving into glitch ambient and IDM and furthering his explorations into ethnic music, his music developed a more melodic and exotic richness. After concentrating on the world fusion, and djing in Australia, India, London, New York, Seattle and Tokyo amongst others, finding new ethnic and exotic sounds along the way, settled in Tokyo where he began a deep connection with the local bellydance scene which is obvious in every set.

With a large music collection which spans indian breakbeat, tribal dub and bellydance fusion, he
weaves a rich tapestry of sounds with a very original Ahimsa style. Also playing tribal dub techno in clubs in Tokyo, you can hear the influence permeate into his dance floor sets.

Now often working in the studio looking for future tribal sounds and ethnic chill out gems, has remixed world music artists and electronic based artists alike, and is planning more releases in the future and a full album in 2013.

You can also see him at many of Tokyo's bellydance events, playing bellydance and indian
fusion/dub/glitch with similar style. He is also a regular at the amazing "Parties for Peace" events, alongside some of Tokyo's finest, raising awareness for global issues while having a rockin' good time!!
