With a public holiday the next day, the atmosphere is set to be even wilder than usual amidst the diverse, polysexual crowd that give the party its distinctive energy. In keeping with the run of incredible guests that have graced MOTORPOOL in 2018, the final headliner of the year is Ketiov. The fast-rising producer took his career into his own hands, releasing a string of highly-regarded house 12”s on his own label throughout 2017 before landing on Running Back with Rhythm Trainx Vol. 2 earlier this year. Ketiov’s place in the contemporary house music landscape is assured, and he’ll be bringing the heat when he arrives at Contact. He’ll be supported by Labyrinth resident SO and Haruka, who are teaming up for a special B2B set. On the Contact floor, Berlin-based Japanese DJ Kana Mechaniker will be heading up the vibes alongside 1-Drink, PUNKADELIX and more, while the Foyer floor will host a strong run of B2B sets by local DJs. Even with the shock and awe of his most recent "Deep State" live set still resonating in our minds, Atom TM will be returning to VENT with his classic Techno set "Grand Loop"! Atom TM was here at VENT this past June to play his intense "Deep State" live set, and now he's coming back to serve us some more unadulterated Techno madness, right at the year's end! He goes by many pseudonyms: Atom TM, Atom Heart, Senor Coconut, Flanger. Atom TM will once again be the main act for "Bcc:Fiesta" at VENT on December 30th, a new type of event that aims to promote the enjoyment of music from an art perspective while supporting a variety of very talented artists. As Atom TM and Atom Heart, the sounds of his live sets have a way of being burned into the minds of the most hardcore Techno lovers, and as Senor Coconut, he takes a playful - and some may say even comical - approach to re-engineering Kraftwerk and Yellow Magic Orchestra tracks, and add a touch of Latin flair for maximum impact! Needless to say, anything Uwe Schmidt touches leaves a lasting influence, and his works are constant favorites in the Japan market. Uwe has released on a wide variety of labels, ranging from his own Rather Interesting print to the venerable Raster Noton - all in all he's released over 400 tracks, encompassing a vast scope of genres (noise, ambient, laten, techno, etc. - name a genre and he's probably released something in it!) all with an experimental approach! With bass-work is reminiscent of 90s Basic Channel and dry/unemotional beats, his Deep State set left a lasting impression of pure shock and awe on those lucky enough to be on the dance floor at the time. A little more about Bcc:Fiesta: Headed by Bcc, this irregularly held event (usually within the Tokyo metro area), which started back in 2009, melds music with art. Atom TM has been headlining the event since it’s incept. Over the years this even has brought over many artists in both the visual (like Mika Ninagawa) and audio fields, crossing over spectrums in an interactive manner. As Bcc:Fiesta moves into its 10th year, this year's event will shift focus on more on music and dance, and with that there will be a simple yet dope dance party that should by no means be missed!
