The Samui All Stars are not really a “band” in the traditional sense. The Samui All Stars are more of an exclusive club made up of the finest musicians on the island. Club founder/Band leader is Rick Montembeault. Membership is by invitation only and is based on three criteria; Musicianship, Professionalism and Affability… Only the best, in every sense. All band members are familiar with a “core set” of classic tunes in many genres, and that list is expanded upon for each, unique performance. When a gig is booked, the call goes out to the various members who are available for that night (or are more appropriate for the type of gig) and a rehearsal schedule is set. Yes, The Samui All Stars will actually rehearse for your gig.

The various members of the All Stars come from many different musical genres, backgrounds and experiences, so the first half of every show features that night’s All Stars line-up in solo, duet and trio configurations… to highlight and showcase each member’s talents. The second half of the show features the full Samui All Stars line-up for the evening, performing 2 hours of non-stop, classic dance music in the Soul, R&B, Rock, Blues, Swing and Reggae styles...
