Harlem, NY native, oriön, grew up on the foundation of hip-hop and house/electronic music from a young age. This shaped his sonic framework and sparked the exploration of varying music genres. Over the many years of DJing, his ever-expanding library of music and genres guided him down a slightly deeper lane of sound.

Gravitating towards the more minimal and deep side of house music, he began a project under the eponymous title oriön. His sound layers some of the unfamiliar, jazzy sides of house music with accents of more colorful sounding vibrations. If asked to self-describe his sound, he would hope it sits sonically between what “deep-sea diving” and “space exploration” at hyper speed may possibly sound like if converted to music.
