Since 2012, Sayaka Botanic has been active as a member of group A, performing extensively across Tokyo and Berlin. From underground parties with cult followings to major international festivals, she has appeared at a wide range of events, with standout performances at CTM Festival in Berghain and on the main stage of Atonal Berlin earning strong acclaim. After the pandemic, she relocated to Yokohama and launched her solo project. On stage, she fearlessly pushes the violin into new territory, weaving intense improvisations through guitar pedals, samplers, and dynamic physical movement. Her sound collages—melding harsh noise, fractured rhythms, and raw violin expression—create a uniquely immersive atmosphere.
