DJ Scarecrow entered the underground drum and bass scene in Tokyo in 2006, playing bars and clubs to hone his skills, and gain a strong understanding of the culture behind the music.
He has always been very passionate about conveying and showcasing his love of Drum and bass/Bass music to people, even organising his own regular events under the name BASS Field in his hometown of Hakuba, Nagano prefecture.
In Tokyo, he performed with artists including John B, and Cause 4 Concern, and then in New Zealand, he performed with artists such as MEFJUS with MAKSIM MC, ARIES, and the Brazilian maestro DJ MARKY. At the OUTLOOK Festival Official Launch Party, he also performed with the legendary “DOC SCOTT” and Sofa Sound boss “DLR”.
Scarecrow’s approach to sets utilises eclectic styles ranging from Halftime and Neurofunk, to jungle and liquid, and many other different genres and variants of bass music. With his open and diverse approach, and impressive technical mixing abilities, he curates a powerful atmosphere that injects energy into any dance floor that he plays at.... More Biography
