Description:
Yabai 84 records is a Drum & Bass label based in Tokyo that was made as a result of Japan's media control and current problems created by the government. The name Yabai originally derived from the Edo Era term "Yaba" which was used to describe a person in prison or a "bad" or "dangerous" person. Today Yabai has evolved into the slang meaning of something that is awesome, fresh, or cool.

The "84" in Yabai 84 was derived from the novel by George Orwell "1984" which was about Oceania and pervasive government surveillance, and incessant public mind control, accomplished with English Socialism.
