DJ NORI

1979 started DJing in Sapporo and then Roppongi. In 1986 he moved to New York and started DJing at Japanese restaurant FUJIYAMA-MAMA and legendary club Paradise Garage until meeting DJ Larry Levan. Nori and Larry started to play together at top ’80s clubs Choice, Gas Station and Tracks. In 1990 he moved back to Tokyo for the opening of club GOLD. He sometimes plays overseas at events and clubs like Peter Pan and Rimini in Italy, Barbara Tucker’s Party, Sound Factory Bar, and Cafe Con Leche in New York. His original groovy sense of mix and choice is well respected. Now Nori plays at club LOOP in Tokyo every Wednesday for the event ’SMOKER’ which boasts big guests like Satoshi Tomiie, Francois Kevorkin, Lord G and Cosmo.

Tim Sullivan began his musical career as the bassist for Melbourne electro band Damn Arms, with whom he went on a world tour and played alongside Klaxons, Cut Copy and Midnight Juggernauts. After the group disbanded he moved to Tokyo, joining the band Gimme Um as guitarist. In 2009 he began organizing the party TOKIO DIKO at Le Baron de Paris. In 2010 he made his solo debut on Cutters Records, the boutique label run by Cut Copy. His blog DAS TIMOTHY” is a must-view.

After an apprenticeship with renowned art director William Baker in London in 2007, Gui moved to Tokyo, where he currently works as a photographer. He is also known for his astounding drumming skills, honed during countless shows played on the underground punk scene of Sao Paulo and London. After moving to Tokyo in 2005, he was recruited to play for the now-defunct group the Vivians and in 2009 joined Gimme Um with Tim Sullivan, aka DAS MOTH. Gui is also in demand as a DJ at some of Tokyo’s edgiest club events. Thanks to his diverse musical tastes, Gui is also in demand as a DJ at some of Tokyo’s edgiest club events. Now he is running the online life magazine JAGR.
