For the first time, WOMB is getting ready to present DENNIS FERRER, a DJ for who it would be no exaggeration to say stands on top of the world right now.
As the dance music world first began to move towards Afro House – a fusion between techno and soul, Dennis Ferrer continued put out a string of hits and has attracted major attention from the scene.
His 2003 collaboration with Jerome Sydenham, "Sandcastles" (Ibadan), traced back to Ferrer’s Techno roots, incorporating strong elements of soul and scoring a huge hit.
“Hey Hey,” a single released in November ’09 on his “Objektivity” label, went straight to number one on Beatport, where it remained on the top spot for four consecutive weeks, a record yet to be broken by any house track since.
In 2014, Objektivity celebrated its 8th year, presenting feature vocal tracks track from indie heroes Ane Brun and Télépopmusik, and in recent years Ferrer has continued to maintain a cutting-edge presence by adding an American twist to the European Deep House Revival movement.
He’s not stopping there – 2015 marks the scheduled release of his eagerly anticipated full album “Paranoia Aftermath”, and his first appearance at WOMB is an opportunity you cannot afford to miss!
