Along with The Loft and Paradise Garage, The Gallery was one of those clubs that set the blueprint of current club culture. Mentored the younger DJs such as Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan, Nicky Siano is the figure who is responsible for this influential club, as well as a pioneer DJ who developed the technique of beat matching in DJ mixing. He was also the original resident of Studio 54 that embodied the most glamourous and scandalous era of New York subculture. After a long break from playing, Siano decided to make a comeback, and eagerly began to circle the clubs to pass down the message of freedom, tolerance and wild music exploration through energetic performance. There are a lot we can learn and experience from his lively presence.
