A night of clockwork techno
Through his mix with great precision, Ben Klock forms layers of deep, heady groove while filling the gaps with various textures to strike every single sweet spot. The structure of his set shifts like clockwork with sonic cogs on a motorik framework meshing with each other in response to the audience's changing vibes. The result is a dramatic humanoid soundscape of techno nobody but the Berghain staple is able to depict. Making the first return in about a year to Japan that represents his long-awaited debut at Studio, he will bring the country up to date with the genre. Stepping up to create the night with him is Wata Igarashi, an up-and-coming Japanese producer that has made his marks through releases for key labels like Bitta and Time To Express. The Contact floor, on the other hand, features an equally attractive line-up as Stereociti comes back to the capital with the Lost Land album for Don Williams' Mojuba, joining our Motorpool resident DSKE and Gonno, who created a stir with the collaborative effort with Nick Höppner for Ostgut Ton.
