In April 2013 we did our first rave at a small club in Shanghai called LOgO. Fast forward to 2017 and we’ve become a label and expanded to Tokyo.

To kick off the first round of our 4th anniversary celebrations, we’re bringing two of Shanghai’s brightest talents to Forestlimit – Swimful and Hyph11E.

Although having already built a reputation with productions for Lil B and Main Attrakionz, last year’s PM2.5 album for Svbkvlt quickly saw Swimful establish himself in the world of grime, gaining support from Kode9, Scratcha DVA, J-cush and Slackk along the way. Since then he’s done two mixes for the Boxed show on Rinse FM and the whole of PM2.5 was remixed by the likes of Air Max ‘97, Howie Lee and Prettybwoy.

Hyph11E is a member of one China’s most exciting labels and crews – Genome 6.66 Mbp – as well as being a talent to watch in her own right. Her tracks have won early support from Tzu Sing and seen her appear on NTS radio, and she contributed a stunning remix for our debut EP.

Representing for Tokyo are Chemical Monsters boss Wrack, Japan’s grime queen Chocola B and Push & Pull co-founder Alta, each bringing their take on underground club music.

Push & Pull is a Shanghai and Tokyo-based club night and record label pushing grime, gqom and underground club sounds from Asia and beyond.
