[ From the psychedelic forefront of the world’s dance capital, Brazil comes some lively yet mystical madness! VOODOOHOP returns to Japan! ]

One the world’s most prominent cities for absolute madness as well as creativity, São Paulo, Brazil is host to the underground, DIY party VOODOOHOP, which boasts thousands of attendees each event. At the center of this spectacle is one person, M. Rux, consistently delivering highly stimulant dance music, and now he is locked in to play in Japan!

Take, for example, sounds from legends like Tom Zé or Caetano Veloso who are pillars of Brazilian music with their warped mixture of tropical stylings and psychedelic madness and load them into a MacBook, and then blend in a slow and chill beat the link this all together into a track - this would be close to the kind of sensation you would get here. This sensation is super fresh and addictive! To give a very Japanese example, it would be like stepping into a lukewarm but constantly bubbling wellspring that feels damn good.

Music insiders the world over are already obsessed with this sound. To define this sound, it is Slow House, Spiritual Electronics, Chill-rave, Super　House... Various micro-genre tags have been affixed already - this new sound is a new movement with tracks and mixes being uploaded as we speak.

This time, representing one of the driving forces of this movement, VOODOOHOP, and working alongside Thomash, is evangelist, track-maker, DJ, and film score producer, M. Rux, who will be performing on VENT’s state-of-the-art sound system.
