For September, in collaboration with
block.fm, 06S will be hosting a B2B drum'n'bass set with our main guests, TAKU TAKAHASHI and the peerlessly popular DJ TJO. Managed by TAKU TAKAHASHI, block.fm
is a media company that gathers the top DJs from a variety of genres in order to distribute music and culture programs, including DJ AKi's long-running "Basstech+" show.
Under the name m-flo, TAKU TAKAHASHI has made an implosive impact on the Japanese music scene with his many hit songs, both as a solo artist and as an active REMIX artist or producer for a large number of domestic and overseas artists, such as Calvin Harris, The Ting Tings, Lady Sovereign, Crystal Kay, Miliyah Kato, and MINMI. In recent years, his DJ activities have resulted in him joining the ranks of TOP DJ, gathering tremendous support in the club scene; in 2010, he became the first Japanese national to reach #1 on the year-end DRUM&BASS chart of beatport, the world's largest dance music distribution website, with "Incoming... TAKU Remix".
TJO has performed club and resident parties all over Japan, mainly in Tokyo, and has recently begun appearing at various major dance festivals around the world. In 2016, he shocked the scene by becoming the first Japanese national to release a MIX CD under the world's most prominent dance music label, ULTRA MUSIC.
