Portable’s big hit “Surrender” was chosen to be “Best New Track” by Pitchfork and DJ Koze uses this track in his DJ-Kicks Mix. In 2016, Portable came to Japan to support Floating Points, and this time he will appear with his live set at VENT on May 12th!!


Portable aka Alan Abrahams is a producer/live act from South Africa. He moved to London to establish his electronic music career and later on, to Lisbon, Berlin and now he is based in Paris. He is producing experimental and atmospheric tracks that act as a link between the indigenous African sounds of his youth, and those
first records.


Portable has been releasing not only from his own label “Süd Electronic”, but “Perlon”, “Live At Robert Johnson”, and “!K7”. Also, he is releasing from Ghostly International/Spectral under his another moniker “BODYCODE”. Abrahams is also prooving his talent with his visual work.


Besides touring regularly, he also has his monthly radio show on Rinse FM, launching live electronic band called “RANGEr”, and holding a residency at Paris’s Carreau Du Temple, his live performance is getting great feedback from the world. Cannot miss this show!
