The ever-evolving François K will be performing his first ever Balearic set, only at VENT!


The phenomenal François K., who hosts the Sunday afternoon Body & SOUL, recognized as the most musically influential party, continues to be at the forefront of the dance music scene, and now he will be coming back to VENT, on August 31st! This time around will something unique - it will be the first time ever François plays a Balaeric set!


François K. has always been on the frontlines, starting from the 70s and up until the present. Born in France, he emigrated to the US in 1975 and made New York City his base of operations. He played drums with Walter Gibbons at the club, Galaxy 21, and subsequently went on to become resident DJ at notable clubs like New York New York and AM PM. He even performed as guest DJ time to time at legendary clubs Loft and Paradise Garage.


In 1996, he started the Sunday afternoon party Body & SOUL along with Danny Krivit and Joe Claussell, which has received tremendous support from DJs and dance music fans from all over the world. Furthermore, he also started the Deep Space NYC event, which focused on dub, as well as Funky Sensation, which is focused on him freely selecting from a vast catalog of hard-hitting tracks from a hodge podge of genres that reach back to his musical roots, including funk, garage, house, and rock.


Creating a fresh and unique style that entices the listener to take a journey into uncharted sonic waters, Francois K., has got a charismatic presence about him that sets him apart from the rest. We've been waiting a long time for his return to Japan, not to mention his first Balearic set - Francois K., keeps on influencing artists and DJs in a big way, and we bet his show is on going to resonate bigtime in Tokyo this summer!
