Peter Rowan — world-class acoustic musician and singer — final Japan tour!
Acoustic music has once again captured the attention of music fans and musicians worldwide. Peter Rowan has remained at its forefront, continually pursuing and pushing the boundaries of the form. Last year, to mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary band Old & In The Way (which included David Grisman and Jerry Garcia), Rowan teamed with Sam Grisman (David Grisman’s son) to reinterpret Old & In The Way’s songs with fresh arrangements on tour, reminding audiences that this music is very much alive.
For this Japan tour, Peter wanted to bring that same project here and has invited mandolinist Taro Inoue, a longtime friend since childhood. While honoring the legacy of Old & In The Way, they are sure to present playful, freewheeling performances that point to new possibilities in acoustic music.
