What is Vice Versa
Vice Versa is a music event that began in October 2024 and recently marked its first anniversary.
The name Vice Versa means “the reverse is also true.”
Moving beyond the conventional boundaries of music, the event enters a new phase with the ambition of traversing multiple fields of expression—including butoh, contemporary dance, and visual works—creating a space where diverse artistic practices intersect.

As Vice Versa enters its second year following its first anniversary, this edition represents a step toward a larger-scale venue in Nishiazabu, aiming to shape a night defined by the refined aesthetic sensibility that has come to symbolize the event.
When encountering the unknown, people experience a wide range of emotions: shock, immersion, excitement, contemplation, interpretation, longing, awe, anxiety, and confusion.

To my right was a friend filled with excitement; to my left, another deeply immersed.
Despite sharing the same space, their reactions were entirely different. I perceived this contrast as a sense of discomfort—a subtle but unmistakable dissonance.
At this event as well, I want people to physically experience that very “discomfort”:
the phenomena that emerge when differing values collide on the floor at Traffic.
