The thing that I always liked about fantasy is that all it requires is for you to use your imagination with pictures coming from the mind's eye. The scope for variety is endless, limited only by the boundaries of your brain. This is not to say that I have not trained in other forms of art, specifically life drawing (for anatomy, foreshortening etc), model making (for a knowledge of 3D), portrait and landscape (for realistic backgrounds and perspective) and some painting, but all these have been incorporated into my fantasy art to produce a unique style which I can truly call my own.
I have had much inspiration along the way, being a big fan of comic books, fantasy stories, such as Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and many other writers and artists but I have always sought to create my own worlds and characters unlike any other. I am also a huge fan of Zoology (past and present), Crypto-zoology, mythology and ancient cultures and all these subjects have greatly inspired me along the way.
