ドイツ、イェーナ在住のプロデューサー／DJであるRobag Wruhme。97年にMonkey Maffiaと結成したWighnomy Brothersは09年末に惜しまれつつ解散したものの、その奥深いエレクトリックサウンドと、ウォッカのボトルを片手にユーモラスなジェスチャーを繰り出すDJスタイルは今なお多くのファンを魅了している。Wighnomy Brothersとしての活動と並行して展開してきたソロアーティストとしてのキャリアも長く、多彩なオリジナル／リミックス作品をリリースしている。これまでにKomaktやPoker Flat、dirtybird、Circus Companyといった名門レーベルでリリース／リミックスを重ねてきていることからも、Robagのプロデューサーとしての評価の高さが伺える。hip-hopやjazz、funk、rockに至るまで、様々なジャンルに影響を受けてきたRobagのサウンドは幅広く、創り出す音楽もtechnoやhouseはもちろんのこと、Drum & BassやChill Outなど、まさしくジャンルレスである。

Robag Wruhme, from Jena, Germany, is best known for his role in the Wighnomy Brothers with Monkey Maffia. The pair founded the record label Freude am Tanzen in 1998 with the motto “Stehter Tropfen h?hlt den Stein” (‘steady drops will drill a hole in stone’). In 2002 they added a sublabel Musik Krause, both of which are distributed by the Cologne based Kompakt stable.
The Wighnomy Brothers’ music is self-described as “raving with reason”: sometimes cheerful and sometimes dark, together or solo the pair make minimal techno that punts straight for the dancefloor.
The duo announced the retirement of the Wighnomy Brothers DJ project starting in 2010 and now DJ separately. Some of Wruhme's recent releases include "Dreiklangkapriolen" on Musik Krause, "Proviant" on Circus Company and his contribution to the new "Kompakt Total 11" compilation.
