Michelle’s love for music and dance began very early on in South Africa, her home country. “As a young dancer I found magic in the right combination of movement and expression with rhythm and sound and my infactuation with music began”.
After taking up guitar and drum lessons, Michelle discovered both her teachers were sound engineers and she was soon totally engrossed in the endless possibilities of production and the art of creating sounds and expressing emotion through them.
After leaving South Africa in 2003 for London and a long break of travel and various different work projects, Michelle decided to commit herself to her passion and began developing her production and technical skills through courses and self-study.
Michelle uses electronic synthesizers, processors and acoustic instruments in her music as well as her own samples made from her recordings of organic and man made sounds, often completely transformed through FX and processing. She also uses her voice along with layering and FX to create original vocal parts and sounds.
