Over the years he has written for prestigious magazines from the UK, Italy and Japan.
Nico also worked as A&R consultant for the celebrated FFRR/London before moving on with Pete Tong when he left the label. Scouting and pre-selecting for Pete's legendary show on BBC Radio 1 since 2001, his vital job is to keep him informed on the more alternative and underground sounds.
As well as being a regular fixture DJing on the London club scene, he has also played worldwide from New York to Jakarta.
His monthly night CODEX was one of the most successful midweek parties to grace sorely missed superclub The End, and while no longer active, the CODEX project lives on in the form of one-off events.
Thanks to a musical background ranging from jazz to alternative rock, electronica, classical, avant-garde and obviously techno and house, Nico is one DJ who never fears to try new sounds without overlooking the tried and tested. Refusing the trap of trends and genres, this eclectic approach reflects also on his studio work. With fellow Italian Severino (of Horse Meat Disco fame) he has launched a project under the name Hyena Stomp. The two share inspirations that move from Kraftwerk to Prince, from the Detroit sound (both the seminal techno scene and the rock one) to cosmic and Afro via house… and more.
