Born and bred in the San Francisco Bay Area, PAPA LU was immersed in underground music from a young age. Initially drawn to Hip Hop, he worked with classic artists like Digital Underground, Gang Starr, Kool Keith, and many more igniting his passion for both music and event production.
Shifting his focus to House music, he produced legendary events like ‘Night Moves’ at Monarch SF and in 2013 he co-founded The Kazbah at Burning Man, quickly gaining a solid following for his sound. He has been invited to perform at premier festivals worldwide, including Mayan Warrior at EDC, SXMusic, BPM and Vujaday.
With releases on labels such ‘Dessert Heart Records’ and LA’s ‘Popgang’, PAPA LU continues to innovate in the studio with recent releases ‘Rave’ and upcoming release ‘Body Rock’ always keeping his sets fresh, headlining shows and opening for major acts such as Green Velvet, Carl Craig and most recently with Jaimie Jones and Loco Dice!
