Chris Mega grew up in Baltimore, U.S.A. where from a young age he was frequently around musicians who played music at his home. After experimenting with various musical instruments, he studied percussion and developed his skills as a drummer. During this time he played with a ska grunge fusion band for over 4 years. In the mid 90s, he was introduced through a friend to the techno scene and underground warehouse parties. He soon found a love for the music and began DJing around that time. Before long he began to experiment with samplers and analogue synthesizers while learning music production. Influences range from reggae, house, techno, fusion, jazz, and many others in creating his melodic percussive sound. He resides in Tokyo, Japan.


Chris Megaは、アメリカのボルチモアに生まれ、幼少の頃からミュージシャン達の間で過ごし、よく家で演奏に励んでました。　沢山の楽器を経験した後、彼はパーカションを勉強してドラマーとしてのスキルを発展させました。　この時期、スカパンク フュージョンバンドで、約４年間演奏していました。　
そして９０年の半ば、彼の友人からの紹介を経て、テクノシーンやアンダーグラウンドのパーティーに入り込むようになりました。　彼はすぐにそれらに惚れ込んで、DJをその頃から始めました。　彼がサンプラーやアナログシンセサイザーなどを習いだすまでには、そんなに長い月日を要しませんでした。　
彼の音楽は、レゲイ、ハウス、テクノ、フュージョン、ジャズ等たくさんの分野から影響されて、メロディやリズミカルなサウンドが創造されています。　
彼は今、東京で暮らしています。
