Akira Ohashi, also known as Mr. Dirac, formed the early "Cycheouts" in the mid-90s. He combined all sorts of atomized information from TV, anime, games, etc. with the Amen Beat, and presented it as a new kind of dance music with bold and precise programming skills. Mixing it with the chaotic live performances like Public Enemy, they took the underground scene by storm in the late 90s., and his performance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL is still talked about today. He suddenly went underground around the 2000s and became one of the first artists in Japan to create works incorporating Dubstep and Grime. His sounds led to enthusiastic fans all over the world. Considering the recent trend of 90s revival and reinterpretation of Rave, he is a Japanese legend not to be missed.
