  ユースカルチャーの新しいタイラントとなったKitsuneブランドのミュージック・マスターマインドであるGildas Loaecは、Daft Punkのマネージメントを １０年以上にわたり務めていた2001年に、当時建築事務所で働いていた黒木理也 とそのサイドプロジェクトとして音楽/ファッション・レーベルであるこの Kitsuneを発足させた。 音楽レーベルとしてはTei TowaのTOM BROWNEのカバー曲である「FUNKIN' FOR JAMAICA」の12インチリリースを皮切りに、2003年には初のコンピレーション『KITSUNE LOVE』をリリース。DAFT PUNKは勿論、TREVOR JACKSON、F.P.Mなど の楽曲を収録し、早くもシーンに強烈なインパクトを与える。 翌年、リリースされた『KITSUNE MIDNIGHT』には、BLACK STROBE、COSMO ...
